As well as being a licensed Unitive® Coach, based in Surrey, UK, I have gained a wide variety of experience in senior leadership, management and consultancy roles whilst working in the UK’s not-for-profit sector as a finance professional. A qualified accountant, I started my career with business consultants KPMG, after having gained a degree in Economics and Politics at Exeter University.
I have worked with a range of major British and international NGOs leading their global finance and other support services functions. As well as leading and managing teams, I have been fortunate to be involved in a wide variety of interesting and challenging strategic projects. These include revising organisational strategy, managing organisational change, implementing and developing finance, HR and database systems, developing and rolling out quality assurance systems, developing competency frameworks, developing performance measurement systems, designing and delivering training courses and a number of other organisational development projects.
During my career I have always enjoyed working with people whether in a management, coaching, mentoring or training capacity. I found that I naturally adopted a coaching management style and so moving towards coaching was a natural step for me.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, a member of the European Council for Coaching and Mentoring, a professional member of the Institute of Chartered Public Finance Accountants, and a Director of Charles Bentley Associates Ltd.
