The  Unitive™ approach to personal and professional development, now recognised by discerning clients world-wide, has evolved as a result of Dr. Charles Bentley’s innovative and extensive work experience over the past thirty years and is now protected by its registered trademark.  Charles originally graduated in pharmaceutical chemistry at King’s College in the University of London, and his post-graduate research into the side-effects of psychotropic drugs convinced him of the need for a radically different approach by which people could learn how to change themselves rather than be influenced by medication, indoctrination or other external means.

He went on to gain a master’s degree in the phenomenology of perception and then a doctorate in gestalt psychology and group dynamics working with Dr Jay Stattman, the director of the Institute of Unitive Psychology at Utrecht, the Netherlands.   He subsequently became an associate staff member at the Institute, working with human potential training groups all over Europe.

Over the last three decades he has worked in Europe and in the US as an agent of change with international companies and institutions. During this time he also built up a very successful individual private practice coaching media personalities, entrepreneurs and professionals holding key positions within business, entertainment and the arts.

Charles lives in Westminster, central London.  Ten years  ago he founded Charles Bentley Associates at http://www.lifecoachuk.com/, now recognised as one of the most prestigious life coaching organisations in Europe and the sole accrediting body for the  uniquely comprehensive Unitive™ coaching approach.
