About Andy
As well as being a registered Unitive™ life coach, based in Guildford, Surrey (in the south east of England), I have gained a wide variety of experience in senior leadership, management and consultancy roles whilst working in the UK’s not-for-profit sector as a finance professional. A qualified accountant, I started my career with business consultants KPMG, after having gained a degree in Economics and Politics at Exeter University.
I have worked with a range of major British and international NGOs leading their global finance and other support services functions. As well as leading and managing teams, I have been fortunate to be involved in a wide variety of interesting and challenging strategic projects. These include revising organisational strategy, managing organisational change, implementing and developing finance, HR and database systems, developing and rolling out quality assurance systems, developing competency frameworks, developing performance measurement systems, designing and delivering training courses and a number of other organisational development projects.
During my career I have always enjoyed working with people whether in a management, coaching, mentoring or training capacity. I found that I naturally adopted a coaching management style and so moving towards coaching was a natural step for me.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, a professional member of the Institute of Chartered Public Finance Accountants, a member of the European Council for Coaching and Mentoring and a Director of Charles Bentley Associates Ltd. I am British and live with my wife in Guildford, Surrey, UK.
About Unitive™ coaching
Charles’s Unitive™ approach to personal development and coaching really appeals to me because each person is treated as an individual and there are no hard and fast rules, simplistic models or processes which are applied to the client. A Unitive™ coach isn’t there to “help” you drive towards some illusory goal or state of perfection in an imagined future, but to facilitate a conversation through which you can see yourself as you really are and the world as it really is – here and now – thereby enabling you to deal with it effectively . Many coaching approaches are very goal-centred whilst the Unitive™ approach is completely person-centred. If you are interested in re-acquainting yourself with the authentic you then maybe working with a Unitive™ coach is for you.
Andy’s coaching services
I work with clients on a one-to-one basis preferably face-to-face in Guildford, Surrey, or by arrangement in central London. Coaching online over Skype or on the phone is also available, particularly for clients further away and for our many international clients.
Each session is stand-alone and there is no commitment to a set number of ongoing sessions. Each face-to-face session is 90 minutes long and those on Skype or over the phone are usually 60 minutes.
My standard rate is £100 per hour (ie £150 per 90 minute session). Payment can be made by cash, cheque, paypal or credit card via paypal.
